| My 'competitive' thrill began very young with horses in Quarter Horse shows and Rodeos. Around 2001 I stopped hauling and competing because fuel had become very expensive. It was costly hauling with a truck that was able to pull a trailer which was always a gas guzzler. I saw a dog show advertisement in our local paper and stopped in to watch. I was hooked from that moment on. I did some research and found Obedience classes and signed up. After competing for many years and a few MOTChs later, I started teaching Obedience and Rally classes. My true love breed is a German Shepherd, working line, and second love is the Belgian Shepherd, Malinois. In 2016 my Belgian Shepherd finished yearend CKC #1 Rally Dog in Canada. She also finished a GMOTCh. My Shepherds have finished year end many times within the CKC Top 10 Obedience or Rally Dogs of Canada. I retired from Administration within the Canadian National Railway in 2017 - best move ever! We also started a small business making Obedience supplies called HIT Accessories. I completed my Rally judging first basically to help local clubs. Because of the shortage of judges now, I recently finished my Obedience judging too. I'm also a CGN Evaluator.
