Marina Pavlovsky was born in Russia and trained her first dog at age 14, an Airedale Terrier. This undertaking proved to be quite challenging because Russia at that time was primarily populated
by German Shepherd Dogs and the training was for the military and protection. It was a great
experience, though, and put her on the road to one of her primary life passions.
Marina left Russia at age 38 when she was hired as an acrobatic coach with Cirque du Soleil and
spent her first three years working in a traveling show called Alegria. When a new show,
Zumanity, opened in Las Vegas, Marina was offered the position as Head coach and was in that
capacity for 18 years until COVID closed the show permanently in November 2020.
In 2008, Marina obtained her first Golden Retriever puppy and took the challenge of Obedience
training. She and Molodetz advanced through Novice A to UDX4, Obedience Master 3, and Rally
Master winning several High in Trial and High Combined awards along the way. Marina's second
Golden, Mishka, achieved his CDX and Rally RAE before tragically dying at an early age. Her
interest was piqued by an associate who introduced her to Hunting Retriever training and Marina
trained her third Golden, Dexter, to a Senior Hunter title immediately after his second birthday in
2017. Soon after, Marina and Dexter achieved a Rally Master title in 2018. Marina still trains and
shows Dexter (OTCH DD’s Zoloto On The Right Side UDX OM2 BN RM SH TKA) and reached her
ultimate goal of obtaining an Obedience Trial Champion title in March 2021.
She fell so much in love with the sport that she wanted to contribute to and promote it as much
as she could. So, Marina began her judging career in 2016 and attained her all-classes approval as
an AKC Obedience and Rally judge in 2018. She brings her enthusiasm, passion, compassion, and
encouragement to each competition she judges. Marina constantly strives to improve and is
fervent about learning as much as possible to reach her objective of becoming the better judge. |
