Description
All Breeds Herding Instinct Test on Saturday September 29th. Location is No Chicken Ranch, just outside of Okotoks. Hosted by the Australian Shepherd Fanciers of Alberta.

Pre-registration entry fees: $40. Pre-entries must be received no later than September 15th. Day of entry (if applicable) will be subject to an extra $10.00 charge.

Please join us for 3 days of herding instruction with Dave and Trudy Viklund. We are fortunate to have them come out to our area once again and there are LIMITED spots available. Please send me an email at billiegirl@platinum.ca if you would like a spot as well as your entry form and deposit.

These clinic fill very fast and for good reason, they are excellent instructors for all breed herding and it is a great opportunity to get started or make progress in herding.

Description
Herding Instinct Test for all breeds on Sunday, June 10th, hosted by the Rottweiler Club of Canada. Testing will take place beginning at 9:00 AM. Testing cost will be $50.

Herding instinct testing is a standardized and accessible introduction for owners and dogs that might not otherwise have access to stock to have a chance to assess their dogs’ ability to experience this area. Dogs will be tested and awarded a certification if successful. The following criteria may include but will not necessarily be limited to: Style, Approach, Eye, Wearing, Bark, Temperament, Interest, Power, Responsiveness, Grouping of Stock, and Balance. Please refer to www.herdingontheweb.com/instincts.htm to get a better understanding of what your evaluator is looking for when testing your dog.

Description
3 Day Herding Clinic with Dave and Trudy Viklund. Held at No Chicken Ranch just outside Okotoks, AB and hosted by the Australian Shepherd Fanciers of Alberta.

Each day will begin at 8:30 a.m. with each participant having a half hour of instruction before lunch and an additional half hour following lunch. Teams will work in small pens or in larger field settings, with either Dave or Trudy.
