|I started in the sport of dog shows in 1974 in obedience, and conformation in 1975. I saw my first Rottweiler at the Chicago International show in 1977 and I knew I had to have one. There were very few breeders at that time, and it was a task to find one! I got my first Rottweiler puppy in 1978, who later became Ch Rodsens Berte Von Zederwald CDX. I have been active in this breed for 40 years and I have bred over 100 champions. I have continued to do obedience with my dogs, and my husband Jeff Shaver has put numerous tracking titles on them.
Six years ago I got my first Brussels Griffon, and I have been actively showing this breed, as well as doing rally and obedience. I won Best of Breed at the World Show in 2017 with my Smooth Brussels Griffon, truly a high light of my years in showing dogs.
I started judging in 2003, and I currently judge the Working and Toy group, and the Non-Sporting group. I have also judged in Finland, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Jamaica and Trinidad.
I have written a book on Canine Nutrition, called "Raw and Natural Nutrition for Dogs", and I enjoy researching any and all topics about canine health issues and genetics.
