TTouch Training – Introduction & Ongoing with Robyn Hood & Kathy Cascade
July 6 - 11, 2009
Vernon

Hosted By: Tellington TTouch Training Canada
Location:Icelandic Horse Farm, Rochdell Road, Vernon
Cost:Cost: $600 plus GST if it is your first training / $800 plus GST for ongoing participants who want to become practitioners
Contact:ttouch@shaw.ca  1-800-255-2336

These 6-day TTouch Trainings give you the opportunity to develop tools to enrich the relationship with your dog or other companion animal. You may be amazed to discover that some habits your pets' displays that you have just learned to ignore or work around can be changed through non-violent methods.

Spend 6 days learning how to be with your dog in ways that will help your relationship grow and strengthen. You may discover that the belief "that's just the way he is" or "he likes to ...." may not in fact be true. Your dog may indeed be able to change some of the habits you both thought you just had to live with! ! In fact you may find that making small changes to your ways or attitude is all that is needed.

The TTouch method also addresses more severe issues such as aggression, fear, barking, leash-pulling, and provides techniques to help with the discomforts and difficulties of inevitable aging.

While the clinic will feature work with dogs you will also have the opportunity to work with other animal species. This will expand your knowledge of possibilities inherent in the Tellington TTouch method applied to all animals.

These clinics can stand on their own, if your primary goal is to improve your connection with your dog or cat through use of the Tellington-TTouch, or be counted towards the 2 year Practitioner Certification Program. Visit the TTouch Training Canada website for more information on the Practitioner Program. You may bring a dog with you, but it is not necessary for participation.

For more information email ttouch@shaw.ca or phone 1-800-255-2336.

An action-packed weekend with Roger Abrantes and Nicole Wilde.

On Saturday, May 29th, Nicole’s topic will be Alternative Approaches to Healing Canine Health & Behavior. Most of us are familiar with treating canine health issues through traditional veterinary medicine, and behavior problems with training and behavior modification. But there are other useful modalities that can be used in conjunction with those treatments. Why limit the good you can do for dogs? Come and learn about some fascinating alternative approaches to healing canine health and behavior.

The morning session will begin with an informative overview of how vibrational, energy-based healing methods work. The afternoon is dedicated to the emerging field of hands-on energy healing. You will learn simple, effective techniques to rebalance a dog’s energy and to clear blockages. A dog whose energies are in balance will experience improved health and display better behavior. You’ll learn how energy healing can calm dogs in a variety of situations, and how it can help with health issues, as well as behavior issues such as fear and aggression. Even those who are deeply skeptical have come away from this seminar with a new view of what these healing modalities can accomplish. Learning to use these alternative approaches can literally be a life-changing experience!

On Sunday, Roger’s topics will be The Evolution of Canine Social Behavior, Dog Language. This classic lecture is the comprehensive introduction into the world of canine communication. All aspects of canine communication are shown by means of slides or film. Aggression, fear, dominance, submission, friendliness, with all their multitude of expressions, are shown and explained in wolves, jackals, foxes, coyotes and dogs. This lecture is also a comparative study of canine and human behavior.

Problem Behavior in Dogs will be the afternoon topic. This talk covers the treatment of problem behavior in dogs from common problems like walking the dog and home alone problems to more complicated issues such as aggressive and fearful behavior. The talk is based on the extensive experience and large files of the Etologisk Institute. The talk targets professionals such as veterinarians, behavior counselors and trainers but is also useful for the dog owner who is interested in understanding how problems develop or how to avoid them.

To register, downloand the Seminar Flyer & Registration Form. For more information, email Ona Steffensen.
