One day seminar with well known and respected Dr. Robert Van Hutchison, DVM.   A leading expert in canine reproduction, he is recognized internationally for his work with canine frozen semen and reproduction.  Co-Director of the Animal Clinic Northview and Director of the International Canine Semen Bank of Ohio, Dr. Hutchinson is associated with the colleges of veterinary medicine at Ohio State University, Virginia Tech, Purdue Tufts University and Michigan State University.  He is the author of numerous important articles on canine reproduction, including Canine Frozen Semen, improving the Odds of Having Healthy Puppies, Treatment of Pyometritis in the Bitch Using Prostaglandin F and Female Reproduction.

Introduction to Tracking - Seminar & Workshop

Schedule:
Classroom seminar begins at 9:30 am
Classroom: Learn about scent theory, different tracking sports and styles, equipment requirements, training resources, testing and titling. Define your objective/goal.
 
Lunch break: 12:00 (many restaurants are nearby)
 
Workshop portion begins at 1:00
Field work: Learn how to give your dog a solid foundation that can carry you from TD through to TDX and/or TR1 to 3. Learn an alternate method for beginning with hard surface tracking.

This seminar will focus on, but not necessarily be limited to, the following topics: the get connected protocol (a series of exercises designed to increase understanding and improve relationship), canine behaviour, positive reinforcement and boundaries, body language, designing training challenges for your dog, overcoming technical reasons for noncompliance and emotional states during training.

Brenda Aloff is a professional dog trainer and Maxwell Award winner specializing in solving behaviour problems. Much of her clientele consists of dogs referred to her when other methods have failed.

She is the author of Get Connected With Your Dog, Canine Body Language - A Photographic Guide, Aggression in Dogs: Practical Management, Prevention & Behaviour Modification, and Positive Reinforcement-Training Dogs in the Real World.
As well, Brenda has a DVD out called Brenda Aloff’s Fundamentals: Foundation Training For Every Dog.
She is a member of NADOI, The International Association of Dog Behaviour Counselors and APDT.
